Aspiring Game Designer
Game design goes beyond games – or at least it should. When I design games, my ultimate goal is to manipulate the player’s mind in order to achieve an intended effect. Whether this is done through the clever layout of a level or the most minute cinematic details, all creative choices should be intentional. Design can become stale, just like anything else, when the same thing is done repeatedly. So, I aim to subvert this issue by always analyzing the design of any media. What is it that a director does right or wrong? How about this artist? Work or play, there is always something to learn from others’ design, and potentially implement into your own.
